Kögel Trailer GmbH has announced its exclusive sales partnership with Horizon Trailers. The Dublin-based company was founded in 2024 and exclusively distributes Kögel's high-quality trailers in Ireland and the UK. Together, the two companies aim to establish the Kögel brand in these important markets and build a strong sales and service network.
As part of its strategic expansion plans in Europe, Kögel Trailer GmbH has specifically strengthened its market position in Ireland and Great Britain. After a comprehensive market analysis and successful pilot orders, Horizon Trailers decided on an exclusive sales partnership with Kögel, which was contractually sealed in 2024. Although Horizon Trailers was only recently founded, the company's management brings decades of expertise in the commercial vehicle sector to the cooperation.
The Horizon Trailers team consists of experienced transport industry professionals with extensive expertise in sales, finance and business development. In close cooperation with Kögel, Horizon Trailers is pursuing ambitious goals, including sustainable growth in both the new vehicle and aftermarket segments. In the medium term, the partners are aiming for a market share of at least 10% in Ireland and Great Britain.
To achieve this goal, Horizon Trailers plans to build a comprehensive dealer and service network to ensure optimal customer service. The focus is on key industries such as international and national freight transport, particularly in the areas of pharmaceutical, agricultural and food logistics. The product portfolio includes Kögel refrigerated vehicles as well as Kögel box and tarpaulin trailers. While the market entry will initially take place in Ireland, activities in Great Britain will also be pursued in parallel.
